Restaurant Association Hosts Workshop On Digital Communication For Cambodian Restaurants

The Cambodia Restaurant Association (CRA) organised a workshop on the topic of digital communication for leading restaurant owners and representatives from across Cambodia, with a focus on harnessing the power of social media to drive sales and brand awareness.
The 'Master Social Media & Drive Your Restaurant's Sales' workshop was organised on June 21, 2024 at Topaz Restaurant Norodom, providing insights and practical strategies to restaurants on how they can leverage social media platforms to better connect with audiences in Cambodia.
The event opened with welcoming remarks from Frantz Heng, Secretary General of the CRA, who highlighted the growing importance of digital marketing for the Cambodian restaurant industry.

Following her remarks, industry experts shared their knowledge and experiences in a panel discussion featuring:
- Lalaine Baldelomar, General Manager of Havas in Cambodia
- Sokheng Ros, Senior Marketing Executive for Gloria Jean's Coffees
- Michelle Win Soe Htway, Marketing & Communications Manager at Raffles Hotel Le Royal
- Zhern Je Lee, Founder & Managing Director of EPIC Unicorn Pty Ltd
Panellist presentations covered a range of topics, including the importance of social media marketing for restaurants, identifying key social media platforms for a Cambodian audience, developing engaging social media content strategies, effective techniques to increase follower engagement and brand awareness, and utilising tools and tactics to drive traffic and sales through social media.
Discussions were moderated by Deka Nine, Head of Business Development of nTn Dining Technology & Co-owner of Toss it Restaurant, who ensured a lively and engaging session given her own experience in the food & beverage (F&B) industry and digital marketing.
The event concluded with a Q&A session and group photo, hopefully leaving participants more equipped to boost their restaurant's social media presence to another level.
